Overview
Renewed Hope People Advocacy (RHPA) is a grassroots mobilisation platform that calls itself "a bridge between federal reforms and the Nigerian people". I designed and built its website.
Context
RHPA speaks to citizens, young people and women seeking empowerment programmes, its own national and state leaders, and the media.
The problem
It needed to feel like a national institution rather than a cluttered government portal, make its leaders and programmes easy to find, and publish news without a rebuild each time.
My role
I worked solo on the design system and the build.
Thinking
Monumental, not cluttered
Deep green, gold and off-white, serif headings and generous space give an official feel without the noise.
dignity over density
News as data
Articles are structured data with optional hero images and galleries, so a new story is an entry, not a new page.
add a story, not a page
Solution
A React and TypeScript site covering vision, empowerment, leadership, a directory, media, news and contact.
What was built
- Organogram and leadership directory
- News articles with in-text galleries
- Image and video compression for faster loads
Outcome
The site is live at renewedhopepeopleadvocacy.org, and I continue to add articles, photos and leadership updates.
