Overview

A new website for Adenike Kizo, a B2B marketing and go-to-market consultant who helps fintechs, SaaS startups and high-growth companies turn buyer signals into pipeline. It replaced the old WordPress site.

Context

Adenike's site had grown up on WordPress, with a blog of long-form writing on GTM, account-based marketing and positioning. Adenike also runs two programmes, Audacity Capital and Audacity Bootcamp, which needed pages and registration.

The problem

The writing is the strongest sales tool, so moving off WordPress could not mean losing the blog or making it harder to publish. The site also needed to feel like a consultancy rather than a theme, and show who was visiting.

My role

I built the whole site on my own: design in code, content migration, the admin, programme pages and forms, analytics and the CRM connection.

Thinking

  1. A small admin, not a full CMS

The admin is built around the two things Adenike publishes: blog posts and case studies. New entries start as drafts and SEO settings sit in a collapsible panel.

    only what gets used

  2. Bring the writing across first

Every post and case study was exported from WordPress and moved over before anything else, so the body of work people already find came across intact.

    the blog is the funnel

  3. Readable by people and machines

Structured data, a sitemap and an llms.txt route help search engines and AI assistants understand the brand, which suits a consultant who writes about AI search.

    practise what you preach

Solution

A Next.js 14 site with services, case studies, blog, testimonials and contact, plus Audacity Capital and Bootcamp pages. Content lives in Firebase with images on Cloudinary, traffic comes from GA4, and forms connect to HubSpot.

What was built

  • Blog and case study migration from WordPress
  • Password-protected admin for posts, case studies and submissions
  • Programme pages with custom registration forms
  • GA4 traffic shown inside the admin, plus HubSpot forms

Outcome

The new site is live at adenikekizo.com, with the blog and case studies carried over and an admin for publishing without a developer.

Reflection

A migration is a good moment to ask what the old system was really for. Here it was publishing ideas, so the new admin does that well and leaves out the rest.
